MVES - Have you ever wondered what an owl has for dinner? We had some inquiring 4th graders research that very question by dissecting owl pellets (regurgitated undigested parts of an owl’s food).

MVES - Due to the need for make-up days missed during the Fall Semester, the following Mondays, February 12 and February 19, will be "school days". This Monday, February 12, has been designated as our NWEA Maps Achievement Day. Letters were sent home notifying you if your student qualified or not. All students who showed growth earned Monday off. Students who did not show growth, we will be addressing those needs on Monday and they must attend. Enjoy your weekend!

MVES - Fourth graders completed a pumpkin catapult challenge by planning, creating, testing, and improving their individual designs. Then, they competed in two challenges.  The first challenge was to land a candy corn pumpkin into a pumpkin bucket. The second challenge was to launch the pumpkin the maximum possible distance. All the data was collected, analyzed, and recorded. It's amazing what you can learn with candy corn pumpkins!!
